The Hinckley Company has hired industry veteran Nick Bischoff to lead sales of Hinckley and Hunt Yachts. Nick brings twenty years of experience to the role having held similar positions at Sunseeker, Tiara and Allied Richard Bertram. He will be responsible for the leadership of the Hinckley and Hunt sales organizations and expanding distribution opportunities. Currently the sales group comprises 19 brokers and two independent agents in ten locations around the U.S.
Hinckley Yachts and Hunt Yachts are built in Maine, and in Portsmouth, Rhode Island where the company’s headquarters are located. Nick will operate out of Rhode Island and believes the two brands are poised for continued growth. “I am pleased to join such a storied company. From the legendary yachts Hinckley has created over decades, to the genius of Ray Hunt, the reputations of these two brands are firmly rooted. But importantly, the innovation, new product development and unparalleled customer service throughout the ownership lifecycle keep them in the forefront of the industry,” said Nick.
Nick is a graduate of Springfield College and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In one of his first acts as VP of Sales, Nick hired Scott Kinney to take the helm of Hunt sales in Annapolis, MD.
Scott has been boating from the time he was born, enjoying summers on his grandfather’s Chris Craft and sailing on Long Island Sound. His love affair with the deep V hull started early when he began his marine career at a Bertram dealer in Connecticut, a company whose designs came from the C. Raymond Hunt Design Associates. Scott has worked for and with companies such as Hatteras, Bertram, Grand Banks, Bristol Yachts, Ted Hood and Hinckley ever since. He’s run boats from Texas to the Caribbean to Canada, and is knowledgeable on both sail and power.
“Scott comes to Hunt Yachts with many years of experience and a thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver the ultimate customer buying and servicing experience. Scott’s philosophy is simple: treat customers like they are family. We’re glad to welcome Scott to our family and wish him success and happiness in his new home in Annapolis, Maryland” says Nick.
